Harold Ford has posted the Oct 13 piece by Rich Lowry, “National Review: Ford Cracks the Code?”

It’s a concise analysis of Ford’s positioning himself to become a viable Senator from Tennessee. Lowry deems it a “brilliant campaign.”

I watched the Tuesday debate in Chattanooga twice, once by means of the local television version with its hiccups, and once when C-Span 2 ran it yesterday. The three-minute allowances for answers let the two candidates ramble and pick and choose their subjects. The audience didn’t seem too disturbed by that. I found that the questions, read by the person who wrote them, revealed more of the candidates’ ideas than ones posed by panels composed of media members.
