Although I caught his closing remarks and the Q&A portion on C-Span, it was just today that I came across a column from Editor and Publisher that highlights Leahy’s main points, including the bill he has offered, the War Profiteering Prevention Act.
In his speech, Leahy says the bill has passed the senate, but been held up by the Republican-controlled conference committee. He feels that this is one of the crucial pieces of legislation needed to combat the Bush administration missteps, which we would call evil-doing.
