UPDATE: Here is a list of events all over the country to coincide with the March on Washington, for those who can’t make it to DC.

If you live on the West Coast and can’t make it to DC, there will be a march in Los Angeles to protest the Iraq war this Saturday, January 27. Here are the details:

WHEN: March & Rally – Saturday, January 27th at NOON

WHERE: Starting at: Democratic Party Headquarters, 9th and Figueroa, Downtown LA

End of March/Rally: Federal Building, Spring and Los Angeles St, Downtown LA

WHAT: The Rally/March has the two demands: Bring the Troops Home Now! Stop Funding the War!

Over 50 organizations have endorsed so far (see list below).

The Jan 27 Action Coalition is an LA-based ad-hoc organization created to demand that the U.S. bring the troops home now and that Congress stop all funding of the war except that necessary to get the troops home from Iraq.

LA March and Rally is planned to coincide with January 27th protests across the state and country including, Washington DC; San Francisco, CA; Mount Shasta, CA; Oakland, CA; Anderson, CA; Mobile, AL; Salt Lake City, UT; Austin, TX; Fitchburg, VA; Kapaa, HI; Hood River, OR; Las Vegas, NV; Gloucester, VA; St. Louis, MO; Walla Walla, WA; Madison, WI; Olympia, WA; Columbus, OH; Lincoln, NE; and Denver, CO.
