You should take a look at Chris Bowers analysis of voter turnout in his ward. I know most of you do not live in a city with a big Democratic Party machine, but you do live in a country with a big Democratic Party machine (currently controlled by Emanuel and Schumer, and a bunch of perennial losers like Bob Shrum). If Bowers’ ward is any indication, the consultants have it exactly wrong, and the potential for anti-machine populism is greater than we thought.
