If it’s Monday, you gotta read Kagro X so you’ll know what’s going on in Congress this week. In the Senate, it will be the confirmation of Eric Holder to be Attorney General, and the stimulus package. In the House, they will vote on SCHIP again because the Senate amended it. And then they will start work on last year’s Appropriations Bill. They never even introduced bills to fund the government in 2009 (except the continuing resolution) because Bush was going to filibuster everything. So they have to do that now. If you love government spending, this is the week to watch CSPAN.

The White House will remain more entertaining. Here’s his Super Bowl video with Matt Lauer:

If you haven’t checked out the White House site and blog, you should. It’s night and day in terms of transparency when compared with the Bush administration.

Things to watch: Tom Daschle, Judd Gregg, Governor John Lynch of New Hampshire.
