Hank Williams, long time singer of the opening anthem for Monday Night Football, has been removed from tonight’s ESPN telecast of the game between Tampa Bay and Indianapolis for comparing Obama to Hitler on our favorite Fair and Balanced Propaganda News Channel. Specifically he made the following comments to “Fox and Friends” Brian Kilmeade:

The country singing star and voice of the Monday Night Football theme song, Williams appeared on “Fox and Friends” this morning to talk politics via satellite hookup. He got right into it, telling the hosts … that John Boehner’s golf game with Barack Obama was a major mistake.

“That would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu. Not hardly. In the shape this country is in?”

When Brian Kilmeade said that he didn’t understand the analogy, Williams was non-plussed. “I’m glad you don’t brother, because a lot of people do. They’re the enemy… Obama! And Biden! Are you kidding? The Three Stooges.”

Well, if we’ve learned one thing about conservatives, a lot of them have trouble with “the math.” He Hank, Obama and Biden can’t be the Three Stooges because — duh — Biden and Obama are only two people and … Oh what’s the use. He wouldn’t get it anyway. Meanwhile, ESPN, who knows a lot of non-Tea Party people like football, too, issued the following statement:

“While Hank Williams, Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize that he is closely linked to our company through the open to Monday Night Football. We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result we have decided to pull the open from tonight’s telecast.”

Now, for those of you who might shout “First Amendment!” and “Freedom of Speech!” and “Censorship!” and “Political Correctness!” blah, blah, blah, let me remind you that right only applies to actions taken by the government against we, the people. You know, actions such as cordoning off the Brooklyn Bridge and the arresting hundreds of people who were peaceably assembling to state their grievances and express their displeasure at the way Government has protected and bailed out Big Banks who have committed fraud. People like these:

Nobody violated Hank Williams free speech rights. He was free to make an idiot of himself on Fox and Friends and ESPN is free to remove his presence from their telecast. Hell, I’ve never liked his song anyway.
