We need to send a delegation of bloggers to DC. Not just Armando and Georgia10 from dKos, but anyone of us who wants to go and can go. We need to sit with Reid and Dean and Pelosi and anyone else we could nail down.
We need to show the faces behind the faxes and the emails and the phone calls. Show that we are mothers, fathers, business owners, writers, tech people, people of all races, creeds, religions, you name it. It would be nice if we could get people from all 50 states.
This is not a protest. This is a “come to Jesus” meeting (if you will).
Congresspeople work for us. Not the other way around. It’s time we set them straight on the fact that they are supposed to be responsive to our concerns and that their votes have real consequences.
I have no clue on how we would set something like this up, but maybe we could contact Kerry or Kennedy’s office to set something up.
