I’ve been beating a drum about the wrongheadedness of the Va 5th Deomcratic Committee and who they keep putting up agasint Virgil Goode . I still think they are completely out of touch with most of the district but I see some news on the Intertubes that may shake things up enough for Virgil to be sent back to Rocky Mount.
Seems that a Va blogger got wind of a project Virgil supported with an ear mark. A project that runs against the grain of his supporters, but surprisingly, quite in line with National Republican Values as practiced.
I won’t do a spoilter. Click the links yourself and have fun. Is this enough to turn Virgil’s lead into a loss? I don’t know. Depends on how he explains it, but it is appearing in the local papers and will finally be some red meat to reporters, radio hosts, and the Democratic Party….if they are skilled enough to take advantage.
Still think my criticisms are valid as without this turn of events, Goode was a sure thing. Not so sure now.
