When I was first elected back in 2000, I stressed that me and my team would act like the grown-ups that we were and restore honor and integrity where it had been lackin’ in The White House

Part of an article in a recent issue of TIME reminded me of a chilling but telling quote from a 2004 Ron Suskind article in The New York Times Magazine.

So Bill Clinton convened his ‘Clinton Global Initiative’ conference in New York last month. Brought together 1,000 world leaders. Those attending included Kofi Annan, Tony Blair, Condi Rice (oh how she must toss-and-turn questioning why she sold-out to the neo-cons), George Soros, Rupert Murdoch, Paul Wolfowitz,General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt, Al Gore and others. Subjects of discussion: lessening extreme world poverty, eliminating religious conflict, reducing global warming and promoting democracy.

Now, take a moment and think what President Bush might be hosting in 2013, five years after his second term ends

Last week, Rush Limbaugh again got some on-air mileage with his mistress shtick, implying that soon-to-be wife-to-be #4 (gotta hand it to those Republicans who practice their one-at-a-time form of polygamy), had emailed him about President Bush’s October 6 ‘war on terror’ speech.

I say let’s try an intervention in an attempt to save Ms. Kagan from future misery.

Even though not being a Montana resident, I am a big Brian Schweitzer supporter and hope there is some politically viable way for him to be in the 2008 Democratic presidential mix.

With the recent and past back-and-forth, pro-and-con posts I’ve read about the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC), I want to submit a question:

Would the DLC visibly support a Schweitzer candidacy if he were to become the 2008 nominee for the Democrats?
